Flood at Forest Mall in Fond du Lac

A city water main, in the floor of the Forest Mall in Fond du Lac, burst and flooded a good portion of the mall including multiple stores, common areas, walkways etc...Pictured is the before and after at Books-A-Million.  At first glance, it may be difficult to see the damage in the "before" picture.  But when you compare it to the "after" photo you can see that the flooring is dark grey carpeting versus a light colored tile as it might appear in the "before" photo.  What you are seeing is in the "before" photo is a couple of inches of water on top of sludge from within the burst pipe. 

This was a big commercial job for which we brought in a huge industrial desiccant.  "A desiccant is a hygroscopic substance that induces or sustains a state of dryness (desiccation) in its vicinity; it is the opposite of a humectant."

Our experts were able to clean and dry this mess so that stores were able to reopen just a few short days later.
