Electrical Fire

This kitchen fire was started by a cell phone charger.  When left plugged in, cell phone chargers are constantly pulling energy.  As a result, heat can build up inside the charger, and it can build up to the point where it can start nearby combustible materials on fire like paperwork on the kitchen counter, dish clothes, carry out pizza boxes etc.. It's always a good idea to unplug your cell phone charger when not in use and to keep it away from combustible materials. 

As you can see from the photos, this homeowner utilized this unfortunate situation as an opportunity to update the look of their kitchen.
